PRICING

35MM SLIDES & NEGATIVES

We aim to keep the pricing for converting your 35mm slides & negatives to digital as simple as possible.

Please be aware that we are not able to magically correct images that have been exposed poorly or are out of focus & blurred: if it's not there in the first place, we can't make it appear through scanning! Please call on

Pricing is 50p per slide or negative, regardless of how many you wish to have copied and transferred to digital format*.

Scanned slides and negatives are put on a USB flash drive and returned once completed. There is an additional charge for the USB drive, or you can supply your own.

* If less than 10 items required, cost per slide or 35mm negative is £2 per individual item.



VHS VIDEO

Pricing for copying any VHS videotape to digital format is kept as straightforward as possible. All copying is carried out in real time, so if your tape is 6 hours, that is how long the process takes.

All VHS videotapes - whatever the length - are charged at £15 per tape.

If you wish to have still images created from your VHS videotape, this is also an option and is charged at an additional £1 per image.

Scanned slides and negatives are put on a USB flash drive and returned once completed. There is an additional charge for the USB drive, or you can supply your own.

Please note that it is not possible to have images created from your VHS tape without a full video scan and transferring to digital format first.

Please also note that VHS videotape scans are a FLAT TRANSFER and will result in an exact copy of what is on the video tape; there can be no enhancing or processing to improve VHS quality.

POSTAGE, COLLECTION & DELIVERY

  1. Return postage depends on the size of the packaging you use to send the slides or negatives to us.
  2. We do not attempt to make any profit on delivery costs.
  3. We will always use a "signed for" & insured delivery service to return your goods as safely as possible.
  4. We will collect & return-deliver your slides/negatives with the final CD/DVD copies in the Chelmsford areas for orders of £50 or more (small packages only).

TERMS

  • All above prices are for individual 35mm slides or 35mm negatives.
  • The term "image" refers to an individual slide or negative image.
  • Please contact us first if your slide or negative is not 35mm, we may still be able to help.
  • Digital scans will be supplied on a USB flash drive - this is chargeable. If you require your scanned images to be returned on a CD or DVD, this can be arranged.
  • While there should be no problem, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to view your slides on your TV.
  • We send via Royal Mail 'signed for', Special Delivery, or can sometimes arrange personal delivery if within the local area.
  • We cannot put back what isn't originally there - blurred or badly exposed photos will always remain so!
  • Grain will not be removed - this is part of the photograph and can be a photographer's artistic choice or as a result of film speed and lighting conditions.
  • We cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or damaged in transit.
  • We strongly recommend sending items by recorded delivery.
  • Please allow an average time of up to 2-4 weeks for scanning, cleaning and return depending on quantity.
  • It is impossible for us to remove absolutely 100% of any dust present on very dirty or fungus damaged slides or negatives.
  • Payment Terms: We accept cheque (please contact in advance), bank transfer or PayPal. PayPal transactions will be subject to additional PayPal fees of 3.4% being added to the total cost.
